One of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent is choosing the right school for your child. At St Martin’s, we aim to ensure that every child continues to fulfil his or her potential, enjoys school life to the maximum and looks back at the time he or she spent here as a wonderful learning experience. Happy children learn well and the caring family environment of St Martin’s is paramount to its continuing success.

St Martin’s has an enviable reputation for high academic standards and we are very proud of the children’s considerable achievements in all aspects of their education. Whilst there is a ‘traditional’ feel to much of our day, with high expectations in terms of our learning environment, discipline and good manners, we are forward thinking and seek to equip our children with the skills they need in the modern world. We aim to produce confident children who are inspired to become lifelong learners.

It is a privilege for me to be working with such enthusiastic and committed pupils and staff. Joining the school in 2014, first as a teacher, then parent and now as Head, I am always impressed with the hard work and dedication of this small, yet significant community.

I would be delighted to welcome you to the School, to share with you our vision for your child’s education and for you to experience all that St Martin’s has to offer. We hope to see you soon!

Happy children learn well and the caring, family environment of St Martin’s is the key to our success. The structure and character of the school enhance individual confidence and self-respect. It encourages pupils to develop lively, inquiring minds and to form lasting friendships. The curriculum as a whole promotes the intellectual, spiritual, moral and physical development of the pupils and gives all age ranges the best possible chance of reaching their full potential.

Our School motto is ‘Thorough’ – a principle that underpins all we do.

“Relationships between pupils and teachers are very positive. Much of the successful teaching in the school is built on this strong foundation of trust. Pupils are kind to each other and willing to express gratitude for the kindness shown to them by their classmates.” OFSTED
