Today we had some ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ style auditions at lunchtime. The children were fantastic and, as always, we were impressed with the diverse range of talents in our small school. The school council had a very tricky job judging the acts and as soon as all entrants have auditioned and scores have been collated we will let everyone know the results.

On Thursday, we had a Rugby training session for our Year 5 and 6 PE class run by Will Croker. Will is Head Coach and Director of Rugby at Bournemouth Rugby and dad of Joshua (Yr1) and Ethan (Yr5). He will be accompanying our teams to the matches we have booked in this term and joining us for another session nearer the Tag-Rugby festival.

We also had a sporty Bournemouth Football assembly led by Jack Copperwaite and Charlie Roffey (Yr5) who are AFC Bournemouth’s biggest fans! The boys had worked hard to write an interesting and fact filled script and knew everything you would ever need to know about football. The children loved looking at all of the programs, autographs and memorabilia.

Finally, we had the most fantastic FREE delivery from the Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme. We participate in the scheme every year and this year received a bonus of £372’s worth of playground equipment! Please make sure you tell all of your friends and family that St Martin’s collects these vouchers and remember to send them in.

PS. We are definitely entering Bournemouth Schools in Bloom this year. Any spare plant pots would be greatly received.
