This week on Monday, Year 3 and 4 went to play netball with Talbot Heath School. It was a good opportunity for our pupils to meet for a ‘friendly’ with another school. We are hoping to arrange more matches of this nature in the future.
On Tuesday, our Year 5 and 6 Rugby team did incredibly well at the Tag Rugby Festival. The children were so supportive of each other and showed fantastic team work. They came second in Group 2, which was 8th out of 21 schools! I was most impressed with they way the children behaved, encouraging each other and being very enthusiastic.
We had two great assemblies this week. Tamzin Dear and Lily Daniel (Year 4) told us all about Swimming. They had lots of interesting information and fun facts about a sport they love. Then, Phoebe Driscoll (Year 4) and Ramone Duckett (Year 3) shared their love of Skiing. They showed some photos and video clips of them in action.
Year 4 had a lovely time this week dressing up in ‘Greek’ clothes in their history lesson. The children learnt about the difference in styles and how fashions have changed.
