Yesterday the Year 4 team went to compete at the Dorset Schools Swimming Gala. Their swimming was great and they represented the school really well.
We had some exciting Science happening at school this week. Mrs Martin who now works for the Primary Science Teaching Trust came to trial a new Lego WeDo kit. The children were able to build robots and program them to move and follow commands using the iPads. The idea is that they will be able to enhance their skills in computing and science!
Our Summer Fayre is going to be on Saturday 17th June and if anyone would like to help or knows of anyone who would be interested in having a stall (from outside), it £5 a pitch please contact Judith Whyte, Lucinda Spencer or Karen Erol at email@example.com .
If you have any Sainsbury’s vouchers at home, in the car, in your bag etc. please bring them in as we will be counting the vouchers on Monday.
To help with our recycling efforts at school, we are now collecting used stamps, plastic milk bottle tops and plastic water bottles (to make into watering cans). We would also like the children to design a poster encouraging us to recycle at school. They can draw it on A4 paper and return it to Mrs Cooper. The winning poster from each class will be laminated and displayed.
We also need some letters returned; there are outstanding Home School Agreements and Parental Responsibility forms.
Finally, if anyone has trophies or shields for Sports Day, the Swimming Gala or Prize Giving from last year please bring them back to school next week.
