Summer Term

  • 18th June 2018

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to a new term at St Martin’s School. I hope you and your families all had a wonderful Easter break.

During the holiday we have decorated the Year 5 and 6 classrooms and installed 2 new interactive smart boards in the Reception class and Year 1. We are very pleased with the ongoing improvements to the school and are looking forward to seeing the garden area develop too.

The weather has been glorious, and the children have really been enjoying playing outside. For staying sun safe in the warm weather we recommend…

  • Applying sunscreen before school and putting some in your child’s bag if you’d like them to reapply it at break or lunch time.
  • Sending in a named school cap.
  • Sending in a named water bottle.

We will allow the children to have a drink as often as they need it.

May I remind you about parking considerately and safely during school drop-offs and pick-ups. Our agreement with the traffic police is that we will use the school side of the road, so children can exit the cars safely and we will not block neighbours driveways or park on the pavements. Thank you for support in this matter.

Finally, if anyone has trophies or shields for Sports Day, the Swimming Gala or Prize Giving from last year, please bring them back to school next week.
